Hey, remember me?

November 14, 2012

Once upon a time, I was working on a project called 12 for 2012.

You may have been working on it, too.

The idea was to finish 12 UFO projects in 2012. One for each month, ya see?

I did great through August, finishing each of the first eight projects I set out to complete.

Then I went back to work and my “extra” time went out the window.

12 for 2012 is neither gone, nor forgotten, but it has shifted a little!

September is a quilt top to be quilted. It just needs backing fabric and then I’m sending it to a long arm quilter to be completed.

Hand Applique ready to quilt november

Now, I’m ready to work on October and am setting out to hand quilt the small applique piece from the beginner’s class I took at Honey Bee Quilt Store. It’s sitting on my chair, ready to get started!

My 12 for 2012 photos.

Are you still working on 12 for 2012?

I’m impressed Jennnifer! I started to do this too but somewhere along the line it didn’t get off the ground. But you have inspired me to do 13 for 13! I definitely need to get busy. Found some awesome patterns to do for Linus and can’t wait to get them and get started….ummm, maybe that should be 1300 for 13? LOL. Wish I could come Saturday as I had so much fun with everyone at the birthday celebration. Ahhh, another month….are you doing one in December?

Congratulations on finishing what you have finished….you are way ahead of me! Take care, don’t work too hard. Hope to see you soon at Sew Much More.

      Hey Shelley,

You’re not ambitious at all, are you? 13 in 13…totally doable! ;)

Yep, Linus meets the third Saturday of every month. You are ALWAYS welcome. Definitely come in December, we’ll have holiday goodies!

I made progress on 11 UFO’s this year, but actually only 1 finish! LOL! I have 10 tops to quilt and bind now… Does that mean 13 for 2013?! Yikes! (I guess I could quilt the tops and be almost done…)

I started to do this but I realized that it wouldn’t work for me because I have too many large projects that would take months to complete. If I was doing some small projects for one per month, it might work out for me. I will have to figured out if I can select small to medium projects per month for 2013 goal.

My goal for this year was to get each project to the next step. Breaking it down really helped and I did get a lot done!
