I’ve recently accumulated 7 blocks from Stars for Linus donations, but was 5 blocks shy having enough for a top. Late last week, I remedied that!
I thought I’d give the Wonky Star (also known as Maverick Star) a try so I pulled out some scraps and started piecing.!
“Wings” added to the 4 1/2″ squares for star points.
All squared up!
Ready to make stars!
First one done!
Pieced top! The paper pieced Stars for Linus as well as the bottom right Wonky Star were donations.
Basted and ready to quilt! Free-motion quilted.
Tada! This quilt was donated to The Linus Connection on Saturday, March 17, 2012.
I will continue to collect Stars For Linus indefinitely. Remember, Stars need to be 12 1/2″ (unfinished)!
Also donated on Saturday, received in the mail from mkissa
hardhatcat donated several of these sweet circus panels! They’ve now been quilted and distributed.
See Show & Tell from Saturday on the Linus Blog!
