This week, I brave the rain and humidity to share my biggest finish of the year! Watch my makeup slowly melt off of my face as I talk about the quilt I made for my son’s dorm room: Galaxy 1824.

The galaxy 1824 quilt is absolutely amazing…thank you so much for your unending inspiration.
Thank you so much, Gwen! It was truly a labor of love and I can’t express the relief I feel that I finished it in time for my son to take it to school. ♥
Your son’s quilt is awesome! I just finished my son’s quilt for school too. Not a fandom quilt, but I’m so relieved to have it done so that I can get back to my fandom fun stuff.
Your son’s quilt looks amazing, you have a wonderful talent. So glad your friends are being very supportive and giving. I’m not really sure what to say to you about your children leaving to educate themselves (mine are still home), except that its a brand new chapter for all of you and you do what you want with it. Good luck, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Thank you, Guida. If nothing else, it will be an adventure!
We were empty nesters for 9 months, while both our sons were in college at the same time. I missed my boys, but, we enjoyed our time alone, together.
We’re looking forward to many date nights and eating at new places that our kids might not enjoy. Mostly I’m looking forward to not being on a school schedule!
