In which I share three small-ish finishes. These were super fun, super fast projects, which was just what I needed this past week!
Iliad had surgery last week to remove a bladder stone. It’s been almost a week now and he’s doing much better. He has one more week of cone-wearing. The hardest part for both he and Ramses has been the separation. As soon as the sutures are out, they can be together again!
In which I share progress on my yet-to-be-named applique quilt made from heirloom orphan blocks, etc, PJ pants progress, a few little gifties, and a How We’re Doing update.

As you all know, I retired from selling my patterns in 2019. A lot of patterns were retired with me. I didn’t want to just dump them into the world just in case I wanted to do something with them someday.
Well, after lots of deliberation, I’m pleased to present one of my all-time most popular previously for-sale patterns, Quirky QWERTY Alphabet, a set of 56 easy-to-piece paper pieced patterns for a very special Free Pattern Friday!
I first shared this chunky funky alphabet back in 2015. Since then, I’ve seen these letters used in many wonderful, beautiful quilts, including several at 2020 QuiltCon here in Austin, Texas!
All I ask in return is that you use this pattern set for good. Create a positive message or a one-of-a-kind item for someone with an unusual name. Please don’t make items to sell for profit but DEFINITELY make items to make the world a better place!
The pattern includes a table of contents, a character chart for easy reference, and a link to my (free!) tutorial on resizing patterns, the full alphabet (A-Z), numbers (0-9), and lots of great keyboard characters to make emoticons, web addresses and more. See the full list below.

In which I talk about moving, breaking down my quilt frame, and my poor sick kitty. I failed to include that we don’t really have a diagnosis. The emergency hospital was leaning toward him having eaten something he should not have. I talked to my vet’s office immediately after recording and they want to see him first thing tomorrow.
