I loved seeing the Saving Sue! My grandma made all three granddaughters Sunbonnet Sue quilts (her only three quilts ever) and mine is falling apart. I may just take your idea and steal it, only I won’t be sashing it in bubble gum pink like the original.
My first quilt experience as a little girl was with my great-grandmother’s Sunbonnet Sue quilt. It still makes me sick to think about how I destroyed it with love.
Oh, you should! It was hard cutting into it at first, but I’m so excited that I’ll be able to have it out again once it’s done. And you’d get to share YOUR quilt with your family, which makes it more awesome. No bubblegum pink, eh? Hehe!
