Yesterday was an exceedingly special day for me!
A Huge, HUGE thank you goes out to Honey Bee Quilt Store for hosting my first-ever Trunk Show. A very special thank you goes out to my friends that came by to help out and cheer me on, as well as the multitude of visitors that so kindly came by to share part of their day with me!
I can’t say enough good things about all the people I was lucky enough to get to visit with. In the photo above, you see me with blog reader Sarah (wearing an awesome Doctor Who tee!!), who came all the way from Houston! We had a lovely visit and it was wonderful to get to meet her face to face. Thanks for coming, Sarah!
If you came yesterday, THANK YOU. I was nervous and excited and it was a wonderful, wonderful day. Everyone I met was so kind about my work and it was lovely to get to share with so many new faces.

Hello Jenifer, this is Denise first of all I’d like to thank you for the free patterns they’re helping me pars to end on my Piecing skills! I was up all night trying to finish the “Sitting Hen 10”. I have up on try to cut and piece the 5” it was very small and so I found myself so frustrated trying to do those tiny weeny parts especially B &E. So I decided to try the 10” and was almost successful when I started sewing the the parts together I notice that there’s a part or parts of pattern missing between the hens head and tail, and the bottom part of her body. The pattern prints out only 5 pages and those pages has the same amount of pattern pieces (6) Please help me find a solution to this hard worked on piece that was planning on making into a quilt. If there are more pattern pieces Id like to get them as Im anxious to finish and not be discouraged😢 Thanks in advance for your time and attention to this matter.
Hi, Neecees. I am sorry to hear you’re having some trouble with the Sitting Hen 10″ pattern. You should have sections A, B, C, D, E, & F. and those pieces should match the 5″ pattern pieces on page 2. Can you look at the pattern and let me know which piece is missing for you?
This is the most up to date version of the pattern – https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_wKYilNuoByMFJtbDBMT0J4cFE/view?usp=sharing&resourcekey=0-Fqo2E45SO1QVo36jqJbQQA
