Be sure to keep reading to the end to find out how to be entered to win today’s prizes!

My block in Vol. 11 of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks

Introducing Sandbox Sisters! These two little gals are inspired by two of my friends, Amber & Jewells. Love ya, ladies!

You can find the Sisters hanging out on the top left side of page 25.

Sandbox Sisters

If these girls remind you of Sunbonnet Sue, that’s because she’s one of my absolute favorites to design! I love her so much, she and her friends have an entire page right here on Sewhooked.

I used Kona cotton for the background and lots of fun scraps for the rest. I just love how their little shovels and sandals turned out!

See more Sunbonnet Sue!

Sandbox Sisters, EQ version

This is what the girls looked like before I made them in fabric.

Just like all of my patterns, this block was designed in EQ.

And now, I have the pleasure of giving away not one, but two prizes!

I love the dragon pattern! And I very much love your Sandbox Sisters, it reminds me of Judy Bloom’s “Summer Sisters”, one of my favorite books when I was a teenager. My favorite thing to do in the spring is picking fiddleheads with my husband. They only come up this time of year and they’re a wonderful maritime treat!

I love it when the weather is nice, and I hate it when it’s too hot! But I LOVE that sense of accomplishment when everything is pruned, weeded and the flowers are blooming. It makes it all worth it!

My favorite spring activities so far have been cleaning up my sewing room and adding a new sewing desk where I have enough space to FMQ my quilts on my small domestics home machine. Cleaning up has given me a chance to put my design wall in a better place and create a cutting center with a big self healing surface so I do not have to always resort to commondeering the diningroom table. So much fun has been had making this space my own!

This book looks great! My favorite spring activity is to be outside as much as possible, enjoying my flowers and vegetable garden. We will probably spend a lot of time there this season.

I also LOVE sunbonnet sue! I’ve made sunbonnets for all the little girls in my family, and even quilts for both my daughter and niece. As for spring activities, I could say I like going to the beach before the summer rush, perhaps picking blackberries for sweet homemade jam, or even just sitting outside on the swing watching the hummingbirds buzz about the honeysuckle flowers, but what I enjoy spending most of my time doing in spring(or anytime of the year!) is SEWING! There’s so much to do and so little time! Sewing is like a good book. It’s sweet and relaxing some moments, frustrating and suspenseful at others, and when you get to the final product, you look back and marvel at the wonderful adventure you just had! Then of course, you show EVERYONE who will look! xD

    Happy sewing to all,

My favorite spring activity is quilting of course. I also enjoy walking in the evening to enjoy the beautiful wildflowers.

My favourite spring activity is opening all the windows and letting fresh air through the house.

I love going out for a walk after dinner – it’s too cold and dark to want to in the winter! Thanks for the chance to win, your block is adorable! x

I can’t wait to do up this block! My favorite spring activity is getting out the kayak, going out onto the lake and seeing the loons (birds not people, lol). When I hear them I know it’s spring.
