I spent most of last week visiting my bff, Jewells (@nmjewells on YouTube), in Albuquerque, NM! I joined her for Paper Piecing Club at Hip Stitch, we stitched (both hand & machine), did loads of thrifting, chatted endlessly, and just generally had some BFF soul restoration time!

Hello, friends! I’m back home from a quick trip to Alpine, Texas, one of my favorite places in the world to just exist. Today I’m chatting a little about my trip, but mostly about the epic bird-themed birthday extravaganza I received from my BFF, Jewells!
I also share about a Graybar sewing machine gifted to me my father-in-law. There’s a little here and there out there about the machine, but if you have personal experience with a Graybar R40, I’d love to know!
As promised, this week I share Jewells’ finished 2018 TTMT Log Cabin Swap Quilt! It was such a joy to get to finish this project for my BFF and I’m delighted to get to share. I also talk about a To Go bag/toolkit I made for sewing supplies.
Friends! Progress has been made on the t-shirt quilt repair, and I made a shirt! A whole one that fits who it is supposed to fit and everything! Up this week, LOTS of quilting to finish a birthday gift and a couple of charity quilts that will go back to Jewells.
