This week I spill the beans about my allergic reaction and the project it inspired (skip to 2:47:03 if you’d rather not), share my next two HST blocks, alterations to a previously unworn made-by-me blouse, and making 20 cloth napkins from a thrifted cotton sheet!

Today finds me with a couple more scrappy blocks, contemplating what to do with a gorgeous thrifted duvet cover, and enjoying spring. Stay to the end for my first hummingbird visits of the season!

The blouse I’m wearing in this video was made using Simplicity S9452 & offcuts from an IKEA Strandlummer Duvet cover. You can see my show & tell about that shirt below.

In which I share the amazing #thriftcrawl haul from almost a week with the world’s best BFF, Jewells68!

Y’all, it was so great to have her here, and I’m sure you can tell how happy it makes me. I was so excited, I even forgot to mention how completely awesome the new downstairs ceiling looks!

We hit Savers, Goodwill (two regular stores & the Outlet), Habitat Restore, Texas Thrift, Austin Creative Reuse, and the Austin Antique Mall. We also had a great time at Ikea!

As always, I miss her already. ♥

TTMT #554 – Hindsight

In which I have a surprise, talk about some charitable projects, and share my 2019 finishes!

I’d also like to clarify that I am not retiring from the internet or from TTMT OR from Fandom in Stitches. I’ve had lots of questions about that since announcing the closing of the Sewhooked shop. The shop is closed, but I’m not going anywhere! Sewhooked.com will continue to exist, but instead of pursuing quilting as a business, I am now doing it just for charity and for fun! This doesn’t mean there will never be a new design from me, there just won’t be any new ones for sale. If you have any questions, please do ask!
