TTMT #723 – A Long P.S.

In which I share two #quiltforgood finishes destined for Jewells in Albuquerque and then forget to tell you the rest of what I got up to last week, shared in a long p.s.

Don’t forget to share a video via talktometuesday.wordpress.com during April 2023 for a chance to win this mini quilt made by yours truly!

TTMT #709 – Serious Conversation

My dear friends, in this video I share an update on my post-op and talk about what you’ve all been asking me: why I can no longer take donations on behalf of The Linus Connection.

If you have mailed a quilt top to me in the last six months or so and you haven’t seen it quilted yet, please let me know if you are okay with my donating to a charity organization at a later date. I won’t be able to quilt for some time yet and I don’t know where my donations will be going at that time.

The orphan blocks you send will still be used to #quiltforgood because that is what I love to do.

Hello, friends.

I am no longer able to accept donations on behalf of The Linus Connection. I will continue to #quiltforgood and will still work with orphan blocks to make that happen, but if you have quilt tops, quilts, fleece, knit, or crochet blankets to donate, you can drop them off at Honey Bee Quilt Store (Austin, TX), Poppy Quilt N Sew (Georgetown, TX), or drop them at the monthly meeting.

If you have been mailing in donations to me personally, I encourage to you find a non-profit in your area. Your talent will be needed and appreciated.

If you prefer to continue donations via The Linus Connection, you can send donations to The Linus Connection, P.O. Box 29491, Austin, Texas 78755.

See you on Tuesday!

❤ Jennifer

TTMT #681 – Sitting & Hooking

This week finds me still sitting after injuring my bad foot. If you want to skip foot talk, go to about 1:40 in the video. Seriously, I explain the whole thing. 😐 Inactivity has found me crocheting pretty much non-stop. I have two more blankets in progress that I didn’t even show today!

TTMT #680 – Sit A Spell

In which I share some mail and a couple of finishes for The Linus Connection.

The long version of the doctor’s appointment story is this: my surgeon left her practice, and medicine altogether, in March or April last year. She referred me to one of her colleagues, who has since also left that same practice, but not the medical field. ALL of the doctors my surgeon worked with have now left. Two of them are starting a new practice, but aren’t taking patients until the end of July. I tried to get in with about six different podiatrists and none of them are taking new patients for at least a month. Since I could not get in immediately to see a podiatrist, I have an appointment with an “injury specialist” at my clinic’s urgent care this afternoon. At the very least, I want to make sure I haven’t seriously damaged my already damaged foot! Whew! See why I didn’t want to explain all that in video?!

TTMT #679 – Space Quilt

In which I share the finished Space Quilt, some hearts for #ifaqh (I Found A Quilted Heart), talk about #quiltsforuvalde and The Linus Connection, and moan a bit about rolling my ankle. I hope you’re all well! ♥
