TTMT #828 – Oops Row! (Quilty Show & Tell)

The epic amount of machine embroidery continues on the bookcase quilt blocks for my hubs (aka my # permanentboyfriend). I had 10 glorious minutes last week when I thought I was done with blocks before realizing I was not! I explain why in the video. Ah, well, sometimes stumbling blocks breed creativity and that certainly worked in this case!

TTMT #827 – All About Those Books (Quilty Show & Tell)

Today I share a short follow-up to last week’s video and book title progress on my bookcase quilt. Just a row and a half of books left to embroider! Stick with me to the end because I’d love your feedback on a very tentative idea I have for 2026.

I use Embrilliance Stitch Artist 1 for machine embroidery design.

TTMT #822 – Hair Care (Crafty Show & Tell)

I took a break from embroidery this week to wait for my hubs to choose more titles for the bookcase blocks. In the meantime, I have worked on Raggedy hair, made a thread organizer for my machine embroidery projects, and done some self care!

TTMT #821 – TTMT Blocks & Tolkien Row! (Quilty Show & Tell)

I’m still chug chug chugging away at the titles for my hub’s bookcase block and am really pleased with progress so far. March 1 was our next to last post for the TTMT BOM! You can find those pattern links below.

The flower vine on the Aragorn & Arwen book is from an OESD Heirloom Legacy set (plants & birds), design DC067_48. It’s from an older CD set and I could not locate it on their website.

I have been using  Embrilliance  Stitch Artist 1 to create my book titles and draw images for this quilt. Several people have asked what I’ve used to “turn” my images into embroidery, and the simplest answer is that I draw them myself in Stitch Artist 1. They are not “digitized” but drawn by me specifically as embroidery images.

Video Tutorial – Hoop 10″ Bookcase Quilt Blocks to Machine Embroider Titles

Hello, friends! This video is a follow-up from my February 25, 2025 Talk to Me Tuesday Vlog titled “Embroidered Bookworm.” I had several requests for more information on how I am hooping 10″ bookcase quilt blocks that are already made. I hope this little explanation helps!

TTMT #820 – Embroidered Bookworm (Quilty Show & Tell)

This week I finally get to work on my to do list and not just stuff to keep me occupied while waiting for my wrist to heal! I posted a new Raggedy Rescue Q & A last week and have a new rescue in the works. Fandom in Stitches updates will also be happening again starting later this week.

TTMT #818 – Try, Error, Try (Quilty Show & Tell)

Today I share some crafty things I attempted while recovering from a sprained wrist. Spoiler, it didn’t go well!

Hexagon update! I mentioned in today’s TTMT video that I tried cutting hexies last week and got frustrated after a few tries. After trial and error, I changed my settings to medium cotton and more pressure. I also changed around the orientation of the hexagons which seem to cut better.

I created a new project from scratch in Cricut Design Space for less fabric waste.

TTMT #816 – Sick Day (Quilty Show & Tell)

It’s a short one today, my friends. I’m in the middle of a head cold and just wanted to check in and show you what I got up to last week.

Fandom paper pieced patterns can be found on Fandom in Stitches. Sting is a new pattern and hasn’t yet been edited to share.

The other pattern is under Multi-Fandom quilt patterns. Search for “Indy” or “Holly.”
