In which I share my new toy, show a heap of crocheted blankets for The Linus Connection, and talk about The Pegasus in the Room!
I’ve changed the way I do my thumbnails over the last few weeks. I’ve also been toying with the idea of not making thumbnails at all. Thoughts? Keep making custom static thumbnails or let YouTube generate one?
This week finds me still sitting after injuring my bad foot. If you want to skip foot talk, go to about 1:40 in the video. Seriously, I explain the whole thing. 😐 Inactivity has found me crocheting pretty much non-stop. I have two more blankets in progress that I didn’t even show today!
In which I share some mail and a couple of finishes for The Linus Connection.
The long version of the doctor’s appointment story is this: my surgeon left her practice, and medicine altogether, in March or April last year. She referred me to one of her colleagues, who has since also left that same practice, but not the medical field. ALL of the doctors my surgeon worked with have now left. Two of them are starting a new practice, but aren’t taking patients until the end of July. I tried to get in with about six different podiatrists and none of them are taking new patients for at least a month. Since I could not get in immediately to see a podiatrist, I have an appointment with an “injury specialist” at my clinic’s urgent care this afternoon. At the very least, I want to make sure I haven’t seriously damaged my already damaged foot! Whew! See why I didn’t want to explain all that in video?!
In which I share the finished Space Quilt, some hearts for #ifaqh (I Found A Quilted Heart), talk about #quiltsforuvalde and The Linus Connection, and moan a bit about rolling my ankle. I hope you’re all well! ♥
See the KXAN video about The Linus Connection here:
In which I share a gift from my daughter, some recent purchases from Austin Creative Reuse, new fabric for the soon-to-be space quilt, oodles of Halloween fabric from Cynthia, and a new orphan block quilt top for The Linus Connection. Whew!
In which I share 6 finishes for donation (4 are mine, 2 are donated tops. 5 are earmarked for The Linus Connection and 1 is intended to go to quilts for Ukraine. I’m waiting on some info for a local organization. I also share more quilted hearts for I Found A Quilted Heart.
