TTMT #823 – Putting the Pieces Together (Crafty Show & Tell)

It’s been a super busy week full of real-life stuff, but I still have some things to share! Most importantly, I’ve finished the doll body updates for my current Raggedy project! Clothes are cut out and ready to make. I also share progress for an unexpected project that landed with a crash!

I have drafted my finished Sting Bookcase Block into a cleaner, simpler pattern and I am looking for a pattern tester who can test by the end of March or early April. The design is 10″ x 20″ paper pieced (plus seam allowance). If you might be interested, please drop me an email at my Fandom in Stitches account – ofenjen@fandominstitches.com.

This is a free pattern that will be shared on fandominstitches.com & sewhooked.com. While I can’t offer compensation, testers will receive acknowledgment on my personal website, Fandom, and social media when the pattern is posted. Thanks!

TTMT #822 – Hair Care (Crafty Show & Tell)

I took a break from embroidery this week to wait for my hubs to choose more titles for the bookcase blocks. In the meantime, I have worked on Raggedy hair, made a thread organizer for my machine embroidery projects, and done some self care!

TTMT #821 – TTMT Blocks & Tolkien Row! (Quilty Show & Tell)

I’m still chug chug chugging away at the titles for my hub’s bookcase block and am really pleased with progress so far. March 1 was our next to last post for the TTMT BOM! You can find those pattern links below.

The flower vine on the Aragorn & Arwen book is from an OESD Heirloom Legacy set (plants & birds), design DC067_48. It’s from an older CD set and I could not locate it on their website.

I have been using  Embrilliance  Stitch Artist 1 to create my book titles and draw images for this quilt. Several people have asked what I’ve used to “turn” my images into embroidery, and the simplest answer is that I draw them myself in Stitch Artist 1. They are not “digitized” but drawn by me specifically as embroidery images.

TTMT 799 October TTMT BOM

October is here and that means new TTMT BOM patterns! I’ve also been working on a slew of gifts, so this week’s video is a short one. Not to worry, I’ll be back soon with much more fun craftiness. One of my favorite videos I’ve ever made is coming up later this month!

TTMT #788 – Well, It’s Not Chairs

This week, I share a minor misadventure in the finishing of my new-to-me dining chairs, a new Sherlock Holmes-themed paper pieced quilt block designed by me for my husband’s bookcase quilt (pattern coming later this month), some tiny sewing machines made by my son, and a tiny bit of progress on my eldest’s Doctor Who quilt repair. Big thanks to my Ko-Fi supporters, with a special shout out to crankyrat for TEN coffees!

TTMT #786 – Two Blue Quilts & A New Tutorial

TTMT #785 – Birds, Blocks, & Daleks

This was one of those weird weeks that felt a month long but also felt like I didn’t do anything while simultaneously doing All The Things. I worked on some machine embroidery, hit my favorite thrift store, Austin Creative Reuse, upcycled a tote bag, and brought home an old favorite project for some much-needed TLC. This little bit of chaos is the result. Stick around to the end for some bird feeder footage!

TTMT #784 – Reorganizing for a NEW Embroidery Machine!

Today I’m SO EXCITED to share my clean and reorganized sewing room featuring my newly upgraded embroidery machine!

I spent last week reorganizing my room for my new Brother PR1X single-needle free-arm embroidery machine purchased from Austin Sewing Machines. They made me a great bundle deal with everything I wanted for lower prices than I saw online. I can’t tell you how excited I am for this upgrade!

Not sponsored, I paid for everything myself, I’m just VERY EXCITED about my new machine!
