Are you tired of hearing about the Doctor Who quilt?
This is it, I promise, the LAST post about it!
Despite talking about it in countless TTMT videos, I just had to share one more post in photos. There’s just something about a good picture, don’t you think?
Here she is, the finished quilt with all 11 Doctors plus the TARDIS.
I know, I know, even I’m blown away by this quilt!
How about a close up of the quilting? I free motion quilted it on my Baby Lock Quest Plus. The whole thing. On a home sewing machine. Yes, I did!
My quilting isn’t perfect, but it makes my daughter happy, and since this is her quilt, I’m happy, too!
*sigh*
I just LOVE the geometry. LOVE IT>
The lovely label made using Jessica Blacknall’s “50 Years” pattern with the names of the Doctor Who Stitch Along Designers added in the space.
And, because it had to be done, a giant TARDIS pillow to go with it.
TARDIS pattern by me, available on Fandom In Stitches.
My daughter leaves for college on Saturday. These are hers. 🙂

Faux Mitered Marvel, $8 on Craftsy
Because I love this quilt layout SO very much and because you asked, I thought it unfair to not share it with the world!
Here it is, dubbed Faux Mitered Marvel, a full-color six page pattern complete with fabric chart and instructions, just $8 on Craftsy. The best part is you could feature ANYTHING in the 8″ and 5″ squares.
I can’t wait to see what your wonderful creativity does to this surprisingly simple pattern!

Jennifer You should be proud of your Dr Who quilt and pillow-well done! I will be thinking about you as you take your first born off to college this weekend. Taking my daughter back this weekend for her second year and it’s a little easier than last year but am sure there will still be some tears on my part. Cindy
Hi Cindy,
I am very proud of most and super happy that she loves them so much!
Good luck to your daughter on her second year. They do grow up fast!
Most Excellent!
Thank you!
Excellent job!!! I love it!
Thank you, I loved making it!
Jennifer, I was hoping you still had the pattern for the 10×10 Tardis that was shown on “Crafts for Geeks”. I loved it and it would be something I would aspire to do for my daughter-in-law, who works for NASA. Thanks!
I sure do! Click on “Tardis Pattern” under the pillow photo in this post and it’ll take you right to it. You can also find it under Free Patterns: Free Fandom Patterns in the main menu at the top of the page.
