As promised, this week I share Jewells’ finished 2018 TTMT Log Cabin Swap Quilt! It was such a joy to get to finish this project for my BFF and I’m delighted to get to share. I also talk about a To Go bag/toolkit I made for sewing supplies.
I spent a lot of time sewing last week, and it’s really helping with All The Things.
Completely by coincidence, or accident maybe, both of my finished projects this week are white shirts, just very different white shirts! Next week, I promise to have some quilty show & tell!
Life continues to life and we are doing our best to hang in there. Thank you to everyone who left kind words on last week’s video. I genuinely appreciate your thoughtfulness.
This week, I’m poorly lit and my audio is a bit weird as I acclimate to my new filming location. Even so, I’m here to chat about making another men’s shirt, finishing a small wall quilt, and playing with my new Janome MC 6650.
I wasn’t up for recording a video this week, but I finished the t-shirt quilt rescue last week, and I REALLY wanted to share. I hope you don’t mind this short and sweet format.

Friends! Progress has been made on the t-shirt quilt repair, and I made a shirt! A whole one that fits who it is supposed to fit and everything! Up this week, LOTS of quilting to finish a birthday gift and a couple of charity quilts that will go back to Jewells.
Journey with me as I repair the crotch of my favorite jeans! With apologies for the random sound issues. My microphone decided this was its last video!
I used the legs from a pair of thrifted jeans with a similar stretch for replacement fabric. I already had those on hand, so this repair cost me $0 in additional materials.
You can use the seam ripper of your choice to repair your jeans, but if you like what I’m using, you can find those here:

I’ve been working hard the last couple of months to update and catalog over 20 years worth of tutorials here on Sewhooked! You can find everything cataloged so for here or you can find them under TUTORIALS in the main menu!
