Welcome to Sewhooked for the final installment of My Favorite Things, my 2016 Block of the Month. I’ve loved sharing this quilt with you and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining in!
My Favorite Things includes 12 original patterns to paper piece in both 6″ and 12″, as well as a FOUR BONUS BLOCKS to mix and match your own favorites. You’ll find the finishing instructions below this month’s pattern.
In case you missed it, I talked about My Favorite Things in this week’s Talk to Me Tuesday. My finished quilt (above) was professionally quilted by Sarah’s Sewing Studio.

Deciding what the final patterns were to be was no easy feat! I have a list of a dozen or more things that I kicked around that are also tools and fun crafty things I love. Finally, I decided on Paint, with a bonus Paintbrush pattern.
While I don’t often use paint on a canvas, I do use paint for stencils, the occasional mural, and other fun crafts. I have a whole shelf of paints ready and waiting whenever the need hits!

The mural above was painted for my daughter way back in 2003 or so. It also happens to the inspiration for The Project of Doom, my Harry Potter-inspired bookcase quilt!
NEED PAPER PIECING HELP? I have a page for that!

Finishing instructions include fabric amounts, layout instructions for these four quilts using either 6″ or 12″ blocks (with and without Bonus Blocks), as well as everything else you need to know to complete the quilt of your choice. These instructions will be free until January 1, 2017. After that time, they will be available as part of the complete My Favorite Things pattern set in my Etsy Shop. Print or save before the deadline to get the finishing instructions for free!
