Today I share some crafty things I attempted while recovering from a sprained wrist. Spoiler, it didn’t go well!

Hexagon update! I mentioned in today’s TTMT video that I tried cutting hexies last week and got frustrated after a few tries. After trial and error, I changed my settings to medium cotton and more pressure. I also changed around the orientation of the hexagons which seem to cut better.

I created a new project from scratch in Cricut Design Space for less fabric waste.

It’s a short one today, my friends. I’m in the middle of a head cold and just wanted to check in and show you what I got up to last week.

Fandom paper pieced patterns can be found on Fandom in Stitches. Sting is a new pattern and hasn’t yet been edited to share. 

The other pattern is under Multi-Fandom quilt patterns. Search for “Indy” or “Holly.”

TTMT #813 – New Year, New Projects (Quilty Show & Tell)

Hello friends! Today, I’m sharing my to-do wish list for 2025. This includes what I’m already working on and what I would like to tackle this year. The #ttmtbom is high on the list, as is my husband’s bookcase quilt (a little bit multi-fandom and a little history quilt!). I’ve got some new projects I’m hoping to work on and design skills I’d like to improve. I hope you come along for the journey!

I really want to work on improving my skills with Embrilliance Embroidery Software. I purchased Essentials when I bought my first embroidery machine and added Stitch Artist 1 a few years later. I am not sponsored; I just really enjoy the software!

Hello, my friends, and welcome back to Free Pattern Friday!

Today I’m delighted to share my most recent contribution to the TTMT BOM. This is a revisit of two old favorites, one never before shared here on my website.

Originally used for a 2018 Block Swap, the Log Cabin below is a classic. I don’t claim the creation of this block, but I did write the instructions and share a paper pieced version for those who aren’t big fans of traditional piecing. The quilt I made from those original swap blocks is one of my great treasures!

A Sewhooked staple for well over a decade, Perfect Nine Patch Wonky Stars is one of my most used patterns.

Video Tutorial – How to sew a quick & easy fabric basket

Hello, friends! As promised in my last TTMT vlog, here is a super quick tutorial for super quick and easy fabric baskets. This is not an original idea, but it is how I assemble fabric baskets when I make them.

Supplies:
2 – 10″ x 10″ squares of quilting cotton (outside fabric)*
2 – 10″ x 10″ squares of quilting cotton (inside fabric)
2 – 10″ x 10″ squares of batting, fleece, or interfacing

All with 2″ squares cut from the left and right bottom.

*outside fabric can be one solid piece, orphan blocks, or pieced as you like.

If you want your basket to be reversible, you can hand stitch instead of machine stitching the lining.
