This week I’m talking about my super fun birthday gift from Jewells, some very happy progress on the bookcase quilt for my husband, and last week’s thrift haul.

The Project of Doom and many other bookcase quilt blocks are all on www.fandominstitches.com. Look for “Bookcase Quilts” in the purple menu. Sting is not a finished pattern and is not yet ready to share.

Hello, friends! I’m back at it this week with some progress on the bookcase quilt, including a quilty plan, new blocks, and some fun practice in Embrilliance Stitch Artist 1. I even took a little time to make something for myself. ♥
This week I talk about saving the TARDIS (cushion!!), my new-to-me almost 70-year-old sewing machine, A Very Important Fundraiser, plus a sneak peek at an in-progress project!
This week, I share Southwest Sonoma Star, a quilt kit finish, two blocks from the #ttmtbom, talk about cleaning out my fabric dresser, and share an old project back in the sewing room for mending!
In between a lot of really un-fun adulting, I’ve been trying to squeeze in some happy projects. First up is a Halloween Quilt finish that I’ve now passed on to my quilt-loving eldest kiddo. I also completed a really fun gift for a good friend’s birthday.
(The sound in this video is a bit weird and I apologize for that. I was trying a new microphone setup and though my couple of tests sounded fine, this did NOT. I’d already given the quilt away when I realized and as I’m no voice-over expert, I decided to do my best to edit the audio and will go back to my regular set up next week.)

In case you missed it, I shared a new freebie last week:
I had a very busy week with some fun thrift store finds, including two quilt tops that I share with you today. I also made a little progress on the bookcase quilt I’m working on for my husband as well as my #ttmtbom!
Austin Creative Reuse is THE BEST thrift store. If you’re ever in the area, you have to check it out!

Woo! I completed the repairs on my eldest’s Doctor Who quilt, which is now back in their hands! This was a bigger job than I first anticipated. It’s been a journey and I am ready for what’s next!

This week I share eight finished charity quilts destined for Project Linus in Albuquerque. I also have a couple of fun things to show from a package of goodies from Jewells, new-to-me Raggedy Ann goodness, and a sneak peek of my swap!
