Are you wearing green today? Even more importantly, do you have green fabric?
Good, because I have a brand new free paper pieced pattern to share with you!
I thought a fun and simple Shamrock pattern would be just the thing to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!
5″ paper pieced Shamrock Pattern
After years of hand-drafting all my patterns in Photoshop, I’ve been learning EQ7. The learning curve is finally getting smaller and I still prefer to color and number my own patterns in Photoshop, but I have discovered that one of my favorite things to do with EQ7 are fun quilt layouts! This one is super simple, but I hope it inspires you to create a little Shamrock quilt of your own!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day…and happy quilting!

Thank you, Jen! I’ll be making the shamrock today!!!!! I’m going to use it for a card to my daughter (who is fighting breast cancer). She’ll like it!
Terri
My pleasure, Terri! I can’t think of a better use for the pattern!

Are there instructions that go with the shamrock? I just see the paper pattern layout. & I think I might need a little more guidance. Help?
Hi there,
Unfortunately, I never wrote instructions for the little quilt. If it helps, the center blocks would work out to 15 1/2″ x 15 1/2″ before the borders. The borders are 1″ (1 1/2″ unfinished).
If you’re looking for instructions for the Shamrock, it’s a paper pieced pattern and I have a tutorial for that right here.
Please let me know if that helps! 🙂
Love the fabric you used. I liked that you used the same fabric but in different color ways.
Thank you!
do you have the fabric requirements for each piece of the shamrock in a list?
