Sophie Update:
HUGE thanks to everyone that helped contribute to Sophie’s medical expenses via gofundme. Sadly, she is no longer a good candidate for surgery, so the next step is crate rest and lots of medication. The funds raised will pay for her prescriptions and we will all hope for the best! If you made a donation of $5 or more via her gofundme prior to Friday, May 29, 2015 and would like the free pattern offered in this post, you will need to forward your gofundme receipt to me at sewhooked@gmail.com.

I have only ONE COPY LEFT of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, Vol 11! Get it now in my Etsy shop!
Have a happy day!

Sweet Sophie is the fur baby of my lovely real life friend and former co-worker, Janis.
Sophie needs major surgery and it’s going to be expensive. Janis is one of the most generous ladies I’ve ever known and she never asks for a thing for herself and I want to do what I can for her faithful, furry companion.
This is Sophie resting at home, waiting for the surgery she needs. If you can help by sharing or by sparing a few dollars for Sophie, it would be greatly appreciated.
Sophie’s gofundme
As a special incentive, I will send a free PDF copy of Football with Laces (Janis is a football fan!) to anyone that donates at least $5 and forwards his or her receipt to sewhooked@gmail.com.
Don’t want a football? Request any $2.95 pattern from my Craftsy shop and it is yours with your receipt. Offer good until the $3000 needed for Sophie’s surgery is raised.
UPDATE: Sophie’s gofundme is now closed. She is unfortunately not a good candidate for surgery, so the next step is crate rest and lots of medication. The funds raised will pay for her prescription and we will all hope for the best!
Let’s help Sophie get the medical care she needs!

Welcome to my post for Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, vol. 11 Blog Tour! I’m thrilled that you’re here and I’m super-duper extra excited to share my 6th 100 Blocks pattern!
Be sure to keep reading to the end to find out how to be entered to win today’s prizes!

Introducing Sandbox Sisters! These two little gals are inspired by two of my friends, Amber & Jewells. Love ya, ladies!
You can find the Sisters hanging out on the top left side of page 25.

If these girls remind you of Sunbonnet Sue, that’s because she’s one of my absolute favorites to design! I love her so much, she and her friends have an entire page right here on Sewhooked.
I used Kona cotton for the background and lots of fun scraps for the rest. I just love how their little shovels and sandals turned out!

This is what the girls looked like before I made them in fabric.
Just like all of my patterns, this block was designed in EQ.
And now, I have the pleasure of giving away not one, but two prizes!
First up is a free issue of Vol. 11 directly from Quiltmaker!
The second prize will come directly from me and includes a beautiful bundle of fabric courtesy of Debbie B. and two of my own patterns. I’m so excited to be able to give such gorgeous teal fabric away! Big thanks to Debbie for being so very generous! 🙂
Two enter to win BOTH the free issue of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 11 AND the Sewhooked prize, just comment below and let me know what your favorite spring activity is!
Only comments that include contact information will be eligible to win. Winners to be contacted Saturday, May 9, 2015.
