Raggedy Rescue: How I Clean my Raggedy Ann & Andy Rescue Rag Dolls

Hello, friends!

Today I have a bonus video for you explaining how I clean my Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for my #raggedyrescue projects. This is prep and cleaning only. If you’d like to see more, drop me a comment!

Please note that this is the way I do it. I strongly believe that Raggedies are meant to be loved and if they can’t be washed, they can’t be given to a child. ♥

BIG thanks to my Ko-Fi members for supporting my content!

I mention several products in this video. I do not have any sponsorships and purchased these myself. Get them at your local shop or find them here:

Easy DIY Halloween Cauldron

This is a super simple DIY Halloween Cauldron we made in 2021. This is one of my all-time favorite Halloween decorations! I made a very short video to show how it’s done. Enjoy!

  • Large Plastic Cauldron bought years ago, I think at Party City
  • Color Change Halloween Lights (affiliate link)
  • Lighted Mister with auto shut off (affiliate link)
  • Cake cover/bowl from Dollar Tree, holes closed with hot glue, and painted black. This one took some trial and error until I found something that fit correctly. You want whatever you use to hang just inside the cauldron so the mister is up high.

TTMT #747 -This One’s For Abbie

In which I share all three of Abbie’s finished Raggedies! It was such a joy working on them. Abbie made it easy by having so much done already. The two small ones were more of a UFO project than a rescue, but still very fun! The lanky girl was my favorite to work on, a true restoration, and extra special to know I was working on Abbie’s own doll!

TTMT #745 – BFF Retreat 2023, #thriftcrawl Haul

In which I share the amazing #thriftcrawl haul from almost a week with the world’s best BFF, Jewells68!

Y’all, it was so great to have her here, and I’m sure you can tell how happy it makes me. I was so excited, I even forgot to mention how completely awesome the new downstairs ceiling looks!

We hit Savers, Goodwill (two regular stores & the Outlet), Habitat Restore, Texas Thrift, Austin Creative Reuse, and the Austin Antique Mall. We also had a great time at Ikea!

As always, I miss her already. ♥

TTMT #744 – Alpine Twins

This week I share my finished Alpine Raggedy Ann & Andy rescue! I spent about 12 hours on these guys and am absolutely delighted with the result. Since these came from my husband’s childhood home, these will go to my sister-in-law for her grandkids.

I used my grandmother’s 1990s McCall’s Crafts Raggedy Ann & Andy pattern for the apron and bloomers.

TTMT #743 – Far West Weekend

Second time’s a charm! There was an issue with my first upload of this video so I’m trying again.

I’m exhausted and my hair is wet, but I’m here! Today I share a quick post-weekend trip video with fun goodies from Jeanie and a surprise find from my husband’s childhood home in Alpine, TX.

TTMT #740 – Several Finishes

In which I share three small-ish finishes. These were super fun, super fast projects, which was just what I needed this past week!

Iliad had surgery last week to remove a bladder stone. It’s been almost a week now and he’s doing much better. He has one more week of cone-wearing. The hardest part for both he and Ramses has been the separation. As soon as the sutures are out, they can be together again!
