Hello, dear friends.
I hope this message finds you healthy and happy and that you’re getting to spend time with the people you love.
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful Christmas Day. My daughter had to work until after 6 pm, so we had a bit of a delayed start, but it was wonderful just the same. We had a house full of people, including both of our kids, and two dear friends of our family.
A quick reminder: my Holiday and Winter themed patterns are on sale through December 31. You can find those in my Etsy Pattern shop. I’ve decided to stay parked on Etsy for a while now that my Craftsy shop is closed. This will give me time to update patterns to reflect that change and to decide what’s next for Sewhooked.

If you’ve been around awhile, you may remember the Smiling Santa Gift Bag tutorial I shared some time ago right here on Sewhooked.
Years ago, I would make these sweet felt gift bags for the kiddos in my life. Santa was one of my favorites, but I also made quite a others, too!
Here’s a photo from WAY BACK in 2000. Whew, thank goodness that Millineum thing turned out okay. 😉
For this design, I’ve taken my hand-drawn Rudolph templates, played with them in EQ8, and created a 10″ pattern to share.
Please be gentle with me. Designing applique using the software is brand new to me.
