Want a chance to win a fun, free prize each month during 2016? It’s easy! Make today’s tutorial and share it with my flickr group. You’ll be entered to win for each photo you share! Winners to be announced on the first Friday of each month.
As with many of our events on Fandom in Stitches, we ended this one by throwing out an invite to our community to share supplemental designs for the project.
I thought it would be fun to design two of my favorite crafty apps to share with our community.
Robert Kaufman Quilt Calculator is my go-to app for calculating binding. It has oodles of other features, but that is definitely my favorite!
This free pattern is 10″ Paper Pieced.
Tested version by Vanda Chittenden. Thanks, Vanda!
The Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft Store App has been a lifesaver! I used to always forget my coupons, but now they are always available at the touch of a finger. Woo, technology!
This free pattern is also 10″ Paper Pieced.
Tested by Vanda!

Over the last month, we’ve stitched, pieced, cooked and prepared Halloween costumes! We’ve revisited old favorite crafts and discovered new ones. I hope that at least one of my Halloween projects caught your fancy and gave you something fun to work on during the month.
If you’d like to revisit our month of Halloween, simply scroll back through Sewhooked starting with this post or click the banner above for a summary of each day and links to all the Halloween goodness.
Thank you, thank you for sticking with me until the end!
I have one last Halloween-themed craft for you today. It’s a little something to keep your hands busy while you enjoy watching Halloween movies and hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.
Are you making projects from 31 Days of Halloween? Share your photos with my flickr group! There will be a fun surprise next Tuesday for one lucky participant!
If you’ve been keeping up with my weekly Talk to to Me Tuesday videos, then you know that I recently had the great pleasure of creating a surprise swap for Vanda, TTMTer and Fandom in Stitches Designer. Because she and I are both big Star Trek fans and I decided to create a fun wall hanging out of one of my favorite hand embroidery pieces, the Picard Quote Sampler.
I designed a simple paper pieced block to combine with my Picard Quote Samper. The two blocks together create a stylized Captain’s uniform for a simple but effective wall hanging. Ack! I love it so much!
Coming in September, the EQ7 Seasons Row-A-Long! I’m super excited to be part of a talented group of EQ Designers for a fun, seasonal Row-A-Long. I’ll be posting more about that very soon!
Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks, vol 11 hits newstands TODAY! I’m excited to once again be included among some of the most talented designers in the world! Be sure to stop back by on Thursday for my post about my block in this fun magazine. There will be prizes1
In honor of my mother-in-law’s memory, I will be giving away one free copy of My Kitchen Window to a Sewhooked Flickr Member that shares photos of projects made from my patterns during February 2015. This wall hanging pattern was inspired by a stained glass piece made by Carol and gifted to my family many years ago.
