Somewhere In Time

Surprise Mail

We got an envelope in the mail today from someone in Alexandria, VA we’d never heard of. When opened, it contained a card and photos we’d mailed to friends that used to live at that address with a note attached from the sender that said “found while painting.”

According to the card…I wrote it on Elena’s first day of school, August 14, 2000! It was like getting a little time capsule in the mail.

Elena finishes her sophomore year of high school next week and Gareth, who was two years old at the time, will finish seventh grade.

Kind of amazing, huh?
