Spring Fling Blog Hop: This one is for my peeps!

Welcome friends, old and new, to my part in Whims and Fancie’s Spring Fling Blog Hop! Be sure to scroll through to the end to see how to win my giveaway!

When I first learned of this fun event from Soma over at Whims and Fancies, the very first thing to pop in my head was bunnies. But not just any bunnies… PEEPS!

My original intention was to make just one 10″ Peep. If one Peep was cute, then wouldn’t three be cuter? Three quickly turned to eight and I realized my Peeps had multiplied like bunnies!

My Peeps got me thinking…what else has been crafted using these crunchy marshmallow treats as inspiration? Here are some of the Peep-tastic things I came across!

Bluebonnets on the way home

In just a few minutes, I’ll be heading out with a friend to embark on the 15th Annual Bluebonnet Shop Hop. I’ve worked the Shop Hop and I’ve visited local stores during the hop, but I’ve never attempted to visit all 12 stores, which we’re attempting to do in just two days.

Wish us luck!

Storage Solution from Pinterest!

Source: thestressedmom.com viaRobin on Pinterest

I see, and pin, a lot of things on Pinterest. If you’re on Pinterest, you know you do it, too! Many things are ideas that I might like to try or just stuff I think is kinda cool. Storage ideas are fantastic, primarily because my home has so little of it.

There’s a fun list I came across earlier this week that includes 10 things to do with an over-the-door shoe organizer. The one that really caught my eye was storing cleaning supplies. I can never find anything under my kitchen sink, and it’s doubly full as I transition from non-green products to green products. Two of everything? I have them!

over the door shoe organizer for cleaning supplies

I found a shoe organizer at my local supermarket for $5. I didn’t hang mine over the door because I don’t need instant access to any of this because most of these are the supplies that I’m transitioning away from. Also, banging. LOTS of banging. All this on the back of a door that’s opened regularly? Not so fun.

I’m loving the way this works for storage and am seriously considering adding one more in my closet to store socks and other items I don’t have a good place for. My shoes can stay in the closet floor…for now!

I tend to be very closed mouthed about my political beliefs. This is a place for crafts and happiness, right?

This one, I just can’t be quiet on.

So I’m straight, yeah, you guys know that. I’ve been married to the best guy in the world for almost two decades.  I consider myself fortunate that I live in a country in which I can be married to the person I choose and I see a real problem with everyone not having the same choice.

That’s it. My soapbox. I’m straight, but I’m not narrow.
