This week finds me with the first progress on my Star Trek Row along since 2019, a new-to-me Raggedy in desperate need of rescuing, and a few other updates.
In case you’re curious, my Raggedy Rescue video from last week:
Today I have a bonus video for you explaining how I clean my Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for my #raggedyrescue projects. This is prep and cleaning only. If you’d like to see more, drop me a comment!
Please note that this is the way I do it. I strongly believe that Raggedies are meant to be loved and if they can’t be washed, they can’t be given to a child. ♥
BIG thanks to my Ko-Fi members for supporting my content!
I mention several products in this video. I do not have any sponsorships and purchased these myself. Get them at your local shop or find them here:
Seam Fix Seam Ripper (Dritz) Mine is the small size, but I couldn’t find a link for that. You may be able to find it at your local quilt store.
This week I share a whole load of finishes that were gifts plus one giftie I received! I hope you’re all doing well and have some time to rest before the start of the new year. ♥
This week I’m delighted to share my finished Christmas quilt based on Running Doe Quilts’ May Flowers. I dubbed mine “Snow Flowers” and it is mine, all mine!
I also share another fabric Christmas tree, a Danish Woven Heart, and a new festive tee for me! Have a lovely rest of your week. ♥
As a thank you to my wonderful Ko-Fi supporters, I wanted to share some extra free content in December.
Holiday House was first shared as part of a blog hop back in 2011. I updated the pattern in 2017, adding a 10″ version for your piecing pleasure. I’m sharing it again here today because I have lots of new quilting friends here on Sewhooked and I wanted to make sure you knew about this sweet block.
Thank you for stopping by. I’m really enjoying the opportunity to share free patterns again. If you make this or any of my other patterns, let me know: drop me an email or tag me on Instagram @sewhookedjen.
I hope to see you for my next Talk to Me Tuesday vlog! If you haven’t joined me for TTMT, be sure to stop by to say hello to yours truly and catch up on what I’ve been working on. Want to join the TTMT community? Find out how here!

Today’s share is one of my most popular paper pieced sets ever, Holly Jolly.
I originally designed this set for a book I was contracted to create way back in 2008. Sadly, that book was canceled and, despite many tries, I was never able to sell it to another publisher. That was the impetus to my turning Sewhooked into a pattern company. I published my patterns independently both online and in print for sale through quilt stores until 2019.
Bonus Santa was added a few years before I stopped selling pattern because he was just too cute not to share!
This pattern and many more have been retired an unavailable since 2019. Now, this sweet little set is yours to make for free!
Holly Jolly includes:
Lil’ St. Nick, Lil’ Mrs. Claus, Wonky Lil’ Christmas Tree, Santa’s Helper, Wee Lil’ Penguin, and bonus pattern, Santa with his Bag.
